Job summary

FLEX is seeking a local Network Engineer in Sandy, Utah to maintain and modernize our enterprise network and data center infrastructure. You will handle traditional network architecture, data center operations, and proactive monitoring while embracing AI tools to accelerate documentation and automate routine tasks.

The role requires 3+ years of hands-on experience, expertise in routing and switching (BGP, OSPF, VLANs, VXLAN), firewall management, and a mindset for security and reliability.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise networking and data center environment management.
• Experience with Zabbix or similar enterprise monitoring.
• Experience using AI productivity tools to automate scripting, analyze logs, or document policies.
• Solid understanding of routing and switching protocols (BGP, OSPF, VLANs, VXLAN, STP, LACP).
• Active industry certifications such as Cisco CCNP/CCNA or equivalent credentials are preferred.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) or network CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Manage and expand monitoring with customized templates and dashboards for network devices, servers, and data center assets.
• Configure and maintain core network hardware across data center and office environments (switches, routers, firewalls, load balancers).
• Implement and enforce security policies, VPNs, routing policies, and segmentation rules; participate in on-call rotations.
• Leverage AI tools to draft network documentation and automate scripting; analyze logs and generate SOPs.
• Continuously evaluate and modernize network infrastructure to improve performance, security, and redundancy.
