Job summary

Omegahires is seeking a hands-on Java + SRE Engineer who can operate across development and production environments. The role requires strong Java and SRE fundamentals, with the ability to debug, automate, and improve reliability using AI tools.

You will work on Java/Spring Boot microservices, production support, observability, and deployments in Kubernetes/OpenShift, contributing to incident response and RCA while driving automation and faster delivery.

Qualifications

• Strong Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and microservices experience.
• Hands-on SRE/production support, troubleshooting, RCA, and SLA/SLO knowledge.
• Experience with Splunk and observability tools.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes/OpenShift, Linux, CI/CD, and scripting.
• Working knowledge of Generative AI, LLMs, prompt engineering, and AI coding assistants.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and adaptability skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, and troubleshoot Java/Spring Boot applications and REST APIs.
• Provide production support, incident management, RCA, and reliability improvements.
• Monitor applications using Splunk, Elasticsearch/Kibana, dashboards, and alerts.
• Support Kubernetes/OpenShift environments, CI/CD pipelines, and deployments.
• Automate repetitive operational tasks and improve application stability.
• Use AI tools such as GitHub Copilot for coding, debugging, testing, and documentation.
