Job summary

Lyra Health in the United States seeks a Staff Software Engineer to accelerate how Lyra uses AI across engineering, operations, and clinical support. You will embed with internal teams, own AI-powered solutions from discovery to deployment, and measure tangible efficiency gains.

You will integrate with Python and Java microservices and collaborate with data science, product, security, and operational health teams to deliver high-impact software while upholding the highest security standards.

Qualifications

• BS in CS or related technical field.
• 8+ years building enterprise web apps (Python/Java).
• Hands-on experience with LLMs in production.
• Translate business problems into shipped software.
• Proactive self-starter with cross-team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Embed with internal teams to map workflows and scope AI-driven solutions.
• Own full lifecycle from discovery to deployment and adoption.
• Build and improve AI-powered tools and integrations with services.
• Drive agentic software development and expand adoption.
• Evaluate AI tools, run experiments, and convert winners into capabilities.
• Define and track metrics showing impact and report to leadership.
• Collaborate with data science, product, design, security, and health teams.
• Follow best practices for security and responsible handling of data.
