Job summary

Mercury is a fintech company, not an FDIC-insured bank. You’ll lead the product designers responsible for Mercury’s core experiences and establish a point of view for how our interfaces should evolve as software possibilities change.

You’ll work closely with Product, Engineering, and Design Systems to turn ideas into coherent, reusable patterns and a team known for exceptional product thinking. Our design organization consists of 40+ people who love solving complex problems and inspiring one

Qualifications

Proven product design leadership with strong craft and judgment.
Strategic thinker with ability to influence roadmap with design thinking.
Experience with AI-native interfaces and consumer software.

Responsibilities

Define and evolve Mercury’s interaction philosophy across AI-native, adaptive and proactive experiences.
Raise product quality across the Interfaces organization, including mobile, dashboard and agentic products.
Lead, coach, and develop a design team to enable bold experimentation with a high quality bar.
Shape product strategy alongside Product and Engineering, early involvement in ambiguous problems.
Stay close to the work through critique, prototyping, and hands-on collaboration.
Share frameworks and emerging ideas to raise craft across the Design organization.
