Columbia University Center for Patient Safety Science (CPSS) seeks a full-time Staff Associate III focused on AI and advanced analytics. The role centers on developing and implementing ML and LLM-based approaches, providing technical leadership, mentoring trainees, and driving high-impact research within CUIMC and partner institutions.

Formación

• Requires a bachelor's degree or higher in Data Science, CS, or Biostatistics with 4–6 years of experience.
• Ability to work on campus at CUIMC.
• Experience in data analysis, ML, or applied AI.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and contribute to data analysis and AI-driven initiatives for CPSS projects.
• Collect, clean, preprocess, and normalize large datasets for analysis and model training.
• Design, build, test, and deploy ML algorithms and predictive models.
• Lead evaluation frameworks for LLMs, including prompt engineering and benchmarking.
• Mentor trainees and supervise students or junior analysts.
• Translate research methods into scalable tools and workflows.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and external partners.
• Stay current with AI/ML advances to improve workflows.
