Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Logistics Sourcing Specialist to develop and execute sourcing strategies for logistics categories, lanes, and service providers. You will lead RFQs, bid events, market analyses, and contract implementation while aligning cost, service, and risk with business goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of relevant experience in logistics, procurement, or data analytics.
• Experience managing complex data and applying automation or AI/ML to business problems.
• Strong analytical, commercial, financial, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to interpret contracts, pricing structures, and performance data.
• Willingness to travel 5–10% domestically and internationally.
• No GM immigration sponsorship provided.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute sourcing strategies for logistics categories, lanes, regions, and service providers.
• Lead RFQs, bid events, market analyses, negotiations, award recommendations, and contract implementation.
• Analyze transportation requirements, network structures, capacity, service levels, accessorials, fuel mechanisms, risk, and landed cost.
• Balance cost, quality, service, capacity, flexibility, resiliency, sustainability, and business continuity.
• Maintain sourcing pipeline, benchmarking data, and budget inputs; monitor on-time metrics.
• Build relationships with carriers, rail/ocean providers, and freight forwarders.
