Job summary

Deepgram is seeking an Accounting Manager, GL & Close to lead the most complex portions of our monthly close and drive readiness for an external audit and ERP migration. You will report to the Chief Accounting Officer and manage a lean, growing team, building scalable close processes with AI-enabled tooling.

You will own the close, design controls, and collaborate across finance to ensure accurate, timely financials as the company scales toward public markets.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of progressive accounting experience with hands-on ownership of technical close areas.
• Active CPA preferred; Big 4 or national firm background is a plus.
• Deep operational US GAAP fluency across capitalization, leases, payroll, intercompany, currency, and cutoff.
• Hands-on ERP and close tooling experience.
• Ability to write clearly for auditors and other leaders; strong written communication.
• Comfort with scripting for schedules and automation (Python, SQL) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Push the close forward by owning critical-path workstreams and driving them to completion.
• Prepare the complex and judgmental areas (stock-based compensation, leases, capitalized software, payroll) with a hands-on approach.
• Review established areas (fixed assets, prepaids, cash, recurring accruals) and provide audit-ready SOD.
