Job summary

Halborn is seeking a full stack developer to own features end-to-end from database to UI, with AI as a core part of how they work. You will build platforms for security researchers, clients to consume findings, and AI-assisted workflows that scale a small team in a real product engineering environment with high security standards.

The role requires strong React/TypeScript on the frontend and Python/Node.js on the backend, plus knowledge of cloud, containers, and secure coding practices.

Qualifications

• 4 or more years building and shipping production web applications with ownership on both front end and back end.
• Strong React and TypeScript, including modern state management, component architecture, and CSS competence.
• Strong server-side skills in Python, Node.js, or both, with production experience designing REST or GraphQL APIs.
• Solid relational database experience — PostgreSQL preferred — including schema design, query performance, and migrations.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure), Docker, and CI/CD pipelines you configured yourself.
• Demonstrated AI-forward development practice: you integrate LLM APIs into real products and use AI tooling in daily work.
• Security-minded engineering instincts and understanding of common web vulnerabilities and prevention.
• Excellent asynchronous written communication and ability to own outcomes across time zones.
• Comfort operating in ambiguity in a changing environment with continual growth.
• Willingness to learn blockchain and cybersecurity concepts.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and ship features end to end across a React and TypeScript front end and Python or Node.js services, taking ownership from technical design through production support.
• Model data and design APIs with clear contracts and scalable migrations.
• Build AI-native product capabilities: LLM orchestration, agentic and multi-step workflows, and retrieval over engagement data.
• Use AI coding tooling while maintaining code review discipline to prevent liability.
• Automate internal engineering and security workflows turning manual processes into durable product surfaces.
• Write secure code by default—input validation, authentication/authorization, secrets handling, and dependency hygiene.
• Participate in code reviews as both author and reviewer.
• Deploy and operate containerized services, cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and on-call ownership.
• Collaborate with security researchers, auditors, and product stakeholders to translate domain expertise into usable software.
• Contribute to technical direction—framework choices, architecture, and documenting decisions.
