Job summary

Shield AI is seeking a full-stack engineer to shape the future of physical AI. You will work across TypeScript and React frontends, backend services, APIs, and Python data workflows, focusing on extensibility and reusable components.

You will build Forge capabilities for simulation, synthetic data, and evaluation, collaborating with Hivemind Pilot and Solutions teams. We value curious generalists who own features end-to-end, move between frontend and backend tasks, and contribute to platform

Qualifications

• Experience delivering and supporting production applications with frontend and backend contributions.
• Proficiency with TypeScript and React, including component design and API integration.
• Experience building backend services in Go or Python, including API design and error handling.
• Experience working with databases and data models, including queries and persistence.
• Ability to reason about service interactions, authentication, authorisation, background jobs, and failures.
• Familiarity with containers, CI/CD, and deploying and debugging services in a shared environment.
• Clear communication and sound engineering judgement, and ability to work with users through ambiguous problems.

Responsibilities

• Build complete features across React interfaces, backend services, APIs, and data storage.
• Translate complex technical workflows into intuitive applications with clear progress and failure analysis.
• Design and evolve APIs and data models to support applications and integrations.
• Contribute to platform/application architecture through requirements or direct contribution.
• Support multi-environment deployment from local to Kubernetes clusters.
• Test and support what you build using logs, metrics, and user feedback to improve reliability.
• Collaborate with users, product, design, and engineering to scope and iteratively deliver improvements.
