Job summary

Deloitte is seeking a Software Engineer II for AI & Engineering/Engineering as a Service to design, develop, test, and deploy cloud-native, AI-augmented software as part of an agile team.

You will grow technically while delivering scalable features, collaborating with senior engineers and cross-functional teammates, and contributing to client projects with modern data and AI platforms.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of professional software engineering experience with a focus on full-stack development.
• 3+ years of full system lifecycle development (requirements through production deployment).
• 3+ years hands-on full-stack experience with a back-end language (Python/Java/.NET/Go/Node.js) and a modern front-end framework (React/Angular/Vue).
• 2+ years in a client-facing development role or with external stakeholders.
• 2+ years building/consuming RESTful APIs or GraphQL services.
• Strong fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, and OOP.
• Experience with relational or NoSQL databases and writing efficient queries.
• Git and collaborative development workflows; testing practices and automated tests.
• Cloud platform knowledge (AWS/Azure/GCP) including deployment and basic infra config.
• Experience integrating at least one LLM platform or generative AI API.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, and maintain scalable full-stack features across front-end and back-end systems.
• Write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code; participate in code reviews.
• Develop and maintain back-end microservices and scalable APIs; implement CI/CD pipelines and containerized workloads.
• Integrate LLM APIs to build intelligent features within client applications.
• Implement agentic AI patterns within full-stack applications under senior guidance.
• Collaborate on prototyping AI-powered workflows and automation solutions.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
• Work with product managers, designers, and engineers to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Identify, diagnose, and resolve bugs and performance issues; support junior engineers.
