Job summary

Leidos is seeking a hands-on Full Stack Developer in Ashburn, VA, to architect and deliver scalable, real-time systems for the DHS CBP mission. You will design and implement across the software lifecycle, applying AI/ML techniques and containerized architectures in a SecDevOps environment.

The role requires strong React/Angular, JavaScript, RESTful APIs, and cloud experience, with on-site presence in Ashburn twice weekly. Candidates must be US citizens and able to obtain a CBP background check.

Qualifications

• BS/BA degree with 12 years of related experience or MS with 10 years of related experience; OR 4 years of related experience in lieu of degree
• Must be able to maintain and obtain a CBP Background Investigation prior to start
• Must be a US citizen
• Experience working with AI/ML as an integral part of executing the software lifecycle and/or implementing AI/ML solutions to support mission
• Experience with Agile Scrum methodology and working in a SecDevOps environment
• Experience working with containerized applications preferably utilizing Konvoy
• 3+ years’ experience developing cloud ready applications and/or experience migrating applications to the cloud.
• 2+ years of experience in one of the following: JAVA, JSF, JavaScript, Spring, Automated test tools such as Selenium.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in at least 2 of the following: React, Angular, Redux, HTML, CSS, JSX, bootstrap, ES6, Redux, JWT, JSON, Babel, Webpack, Axios, NPM, Node.
• Proficient in JAVA, JavaScript, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model
• Thorough understanding of React and Angular and its core principles
• 2+ years experience with Microservices/RESTful APIs
• Expertise with Axios framework to work with rest services.
• Hands on experience with HTML/CSS/Bootstrap
• Hands on experience of modern authorization mechanisms, such as JSON Web Token (JWT)

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, build, deliver, and enhance highly available, scalable real-time systems
• Participate in and/or direct major deliverables across the SDLC, including estimation, architecture, design, coding, and unit testing
• Collaborate to align designs with customer objectives, timelines, and resource constraints
• Work in a hands-on role on a mission-critical program within the CBP PSPD
