Job summary

NISC is seeking software developers to join the iVUE Connect Service Development team, tackling full stack challenges and integrating intelligent automation into solutions for customer service workflows in billing. Hybrid work model across Cedar Rapids, IA; 3 days in office preferred.

Ideal candidates have 1+ years in software development, strong Angular/Java skills, cloud experience (AWS/Kubernetes), and familiarity with AI-enabled development pipelines.Bachelor's or master's in CS/CE is

Qualifications

• 1+ years of software development experience.
• Proficient with Angular, or other TypeScript web frameworks.
• Java or other object-oriented programming experience; GWT a plus.
• Experience with RDBMS (Postgres, SQL, Oracle).
• Experience with cloud stack (AWS, Kubernetes, Spring Boot, Kafka, SSO, Cassandra).
• Proficient in developing responsive content and web applications.
• Understanding of core web development principles and architecture.
• Experience with Git, JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket, Bamboo.
• Experience integrating AI capabilities into software workflows.
• Familiarity with prompt engineering and AI tooling.

Responsibilities

• Design and build responsive web applications.
• Stand up RESTful web services.
• Container-driven development (Kubernetes, microservices).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to research, design, and implement new features.
• Research, analyze, and resolve moderately complex customer issues and bugs.
• Leverage generative AI tools to enhance productivity and problem-solving.
