Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics or a highly analytical field (e.g., Engineering, Math, and Computer Science)
• 5+ years of finance or a related analytical field experience
• 6+ years identifying incomplete or inaccurate data and enabling escalation plans
• 6+ years delivering financial models and analyses with measurable impact
• MBA or CPA
• Knowledge of SQL/ETL
• Experience with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and financial systems (Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
• Experience in forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results

Responsibilities

• Analyze operational data to provide financial insights that optimize costs and drive business performance, applying understanding of Amazon's financial processes and internal controls to existing products and tools
• Develop and utilize AI-powered dashboards for anomaly detection and trend analysis, transforming complex data into clear, actionable insights for senior leadership
• Partner with operations teams to validate business case assumptions, track performance metrics, and contribute to automated reporting systems that reduce manual work by 40-50%
• Conduct risk assessments and implement improvements to remediate gaps, ensuring reporting accuracy by diving deep into data discrepancies and executing fixes
• Collaborate across finance, operations, supply chain, and technology teams to develop standardized investment evaluation processes and financial playbooks that scale independently of building count
