Amazon is Seeking a Financial Analyst III to bridge finance, operations, and technology transformation. You will drive AI-enabled automation, develop scalable controllership frameworks, and translate complex metrics into actionable financial insights to optimize the supply chain.

You will partner with diverse teams to standardize investment evaluation and reporting, while reducing manual work by 40-50% through automated processes and dashboards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics or a highly analytical field.
• 5+ years of finance or a related analytical field experience.
• 6+ years identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience.
• 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business.
• MBA, or CPA
• Knowledge of SQL/ETL
• Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
• Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results.

Responsibilities

• Analyze operational data to provide financial insights that optimize costs and drive business performance, applying your understanding of Amazon's financial processes and internal controls to existing products and tools.
• Develop and utilize AI-powered dashboards for anomaly detection and trend analysis, transforming complex data into clear, actionable insights for senior leadership.
• Partner with operations teams to validate business case assumptions, track performance metrics, and contribute to automated reporting systems that reduce manual work by 40-50%.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement improvements to remediate gaps, ensuring reporting accuracy by diving deep into data discrepancies and executing fixes.
• Collaborate across finance, operations, supply chain, and technology teams to develop standardized investment evaluation processes and financial playbooks that scale independently of building count.
