Job summary

The D. E. Shaw Group seeks an AI product analyst to join its Fundamental Equities team in Denver. The role focuses on integrating agentic AI into research workflows to accelerate insights across the investment universe.

You will prototype AI-powered solutions using Claude Code, map processes with analysts and PMs, and ensure compliance with data licensing and internal standards. A bachelor’s degree and hands-on AI prototyping experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in any field and hands-on experience building with agentic AI tools such as Claude Code.
• Proficiency in reading, modifying, and debugging code and comfort with APIs, data feeds, and lightweight scripting (Python).
• Understanding of investment research process, financial models, and monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and map current research processes with analysts and PMs to identify repetitive tasks.
• Redesign investment research workflows using agentic AI tools and rethink steps like idea sourcing, document synthesis, screening, and model maintenance.
• Prototype and deploy AI-powered solutions to automate daily research activities.
• Iterate on prototypes based on feedback to ensure adoption and measurable impact.
• Document and package successful workflows for broader team use and share best practices to improve AI fluency.
• Ensure all solutions comply with data licensing, information barriers, and firmwide compliance standards.
