Job summary

Crossing Hurdles is seeking an educator-focused evaluator to complete realistic teaching-related digital tasks using AI assistant tools under standardized conditions. You will follow detailed task instructions and grading guidelines, provide AI assistants with clear prompts, and review outputs for accuracy, tone, grammar, and completeness.

Additionally, you will evaluate and annotate AI responses using your knowledge of literature, rhetoric, and composition.

Qualifications

Based in the United States with access to an iPhone with iMessage and a Facebook and/or Instagram account.
Bachelor's degree in English, literature, or related humanities field.
Strong experience following detailed, multi-step instructions with accuracy and consistency.
Strong experience teaching English or literature at the K-12, college, or adult education level.
Strong knowledge of literary analysis, writing conventions, grammar, style, tone, and clarity.

Responsibilities

Complete realistic teaching-related digital tasks using AI assistant tools under standardized conditions.
Follow detailed task instructions and grading guidelines accurately and consistently.
Provide AI assistants with clear instructions and review outputs for accuracy, tone, grammar, and completeness.
Evaluate and annotate AI responses based on language quality, literary appropriateness, clarity, and tone.
Apply knowledge of literature, rhetoric, and composition to assess AI-generated writing.
Use AI training tools and platforms to record findings and submit evaluation data.
Draw on classroom experience to evaluate real-world teaching, communication, and coordination tasks.
