Job summary

Mercor is seeking a part-time Drug Discovery SME to guide AI model development in pharmacology, DMPK/ADME and toxicology. You will design tasks, evaluate model outputs, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality data and scientific validity.

You will work up to 20 hours per week, with potential placement at a leading AI Lab as part of the extended workforce. A PhD in relevant fields and hands-on experience in early drug discovery are required.

Qualifications

• PhD in pharmacology, pharmaceutical sciences, toxicology, DMPK, biochemistry or related field.
• 3+ years in early-to-mid stage drug discovery or related pharma/biotech experience.
• Hands-on data analysis of experimental drug discovery data and PK/PD studies.

Responsibilities

• Guide teams to improve AI model performance in pharmacology areas.
• Design benchmark tasks and training data for drug discovery models.
• Evaluate AI outputs and provide technical feedback on scientific reasoning.
• Develop specs, rubrics, and QA processes for externally produced data.
