Job summary

Archer, in partnership with Verisk, is seeking a Development Team Lead to guide a team building Xactimate Desktop—our mature C#/.NET/WPF application. You’ll drive technical strategy, mentoring, and the AI-assisted development program while staying hands-on about a third of the time.

Reporting to the Software Development Manager, you’ll partner with product, QA, and UX to deliver high-quality software on schedule, while promoting a culture of learning and continuous improvement across a

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Proven ability to lead engineers or teams.
• Strong C#/.NET with WPF and MVVM experience.
• Experience with CI/CD, e.g., TeamCity.
• Track record of delivering high-quality software on schedule.
• Fluent in agile methods and iterative delivery.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Hands-on with AI-assisted development is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of software engineers.
• Set team goals, track progress, and address performance concerns.
• Hire engineers and build team culture.
• Drive AI adoption and productivity improvements.
• Review architecture with principal engineers and plan technically.
• Contribute hands-on coding ~30% of time.
