Datadog in the United States is seeking a senior software engineer to shape AI-accelerated workflows and developer ecosystems. You will blend engineering depth with authentic storytelling to guide the next wave of builders in observability and performance.

You’ll publish in public, craft open-source boilerplates, and collaborate with teams to translate real-world developer experiences into product roadmaps, mentoring others and promoting inclusive, growth-oriented culture.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering experience.
• AI-fluent developer who uses AI tools in daily workflows.
• Public portfolio of peer-to-peer artifacts (GitHub, blogs, talks).

Responsibilities

• Help developers hone their craft in an AI-accelerated world by exploring AI coding assistants and rapid-prototyping tools and guiding teams on balancing rapid prototyping with engineering practices.
• Build in public by creating authentic, peer-to-peer technical content, sharing engineering insights where modern developers collaborate.
• Drive a bidirectional feedback loop between developer communities and internal teams, translating real-world experiences into actionable product insights.
• Design and ship open-source boilerplate templates, quickstarts, and tools that integrate observability across AI workflows and cloud platforms.
