Job summary

Skechers USA, Inc. is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer to join our global security team in California. You will lead detection and response efforts, build automation, and enhance telemetry across cloud and on‑premises environments.

You will work with cross‑functional teams, conduct threat hunts, run purple team exercises, and translate findings into measurable improvements. Strong scripting, cloud skills, and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Advanced experience with event log management, aggregation, alerting, and monitoring.
• Experience developing, tuning, testing, and documenting detection rules and alerts.
• Experience with SOAR or automation platforms, APIs, webhooks, and scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell.
• Deep understanding of identity, access management, network architecture, and systems hardening in large environments.
• Experience with Windows, Linux, and macOS servers/workstations.
• Public cloud experience (AWS, Azure, GCP) a plus

Responsibilities

• Source, integrate, and leverage log and event data to create insights and develop detections, dashboards.
• Prioritize, develop, test, tune, and maintain detection logic, rules, and alerts.
• Develop and maintain clear documentation of detection logic and data requirements, test results, and response procedures.
• Improve telemetry quality by evaluating source integrations, parsing, normalization, and logging practices.
• Drive threat hunting and purple team exercises and translate findings into measurable improvements.
• Design, build, and improve security automation playbooks with AI-assisted analysis and actions.
• Triage alerts and perform incident response in real time as needed.
• Collaborate to define cybersecurity standards and secure procedures.
