Job summary

Skechers is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer to join its global security team, building detections, automation playbooks, and the tooling that underpins security monitoring and response. You will lead incident response, tune detection logic, and collaborate with infrastructure, applications, and business teams to improve telemetry and defensive capabilities, while advancing AI-enabled analysis.

Qualifications

• Advanced experience with event log management, aggregation, alerting, and monitoring.
• Experience developing, tuning, testing, and documenting detection rules and alerts.
• Proficiency with SOAR platforms, APIs, and scripting (Python/PowerShell).
• Deep understanding of identity, network architecture, and systems hardening.
• Experience with servers/workstations running Windows, Linux, and macOS.
• Strong cloud experience (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
• Excellent documentation and written/oral communication skills.
• Lead cybersecurity projects, incident response, and developing new concepts.

Responsibilities

• Source, integrate, and leverage log data to create insights and detections.
• Develop and maintain detection logic, rules, and alerts based on threat intel.
• Document detection logic, data requirements, test results, and response procedures.
• Improve telemetry quality via data normalization and enrichment.
• Drive threat hunting and purple team exercises and translate findings into improvements.
• Design and improve security automation playbooks with AI-assisted analysis.
• Manage security tools and infrastructure for log processing and response automation.
• Triage alerts and perform real-time incident response as needed.
• Evaluate and deploy innovative security tools and systems.
• Collaborate to define cybersecurity standards and secure procedures.
