Job summary

Skechers is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer to advance detection and response capabilities. You will build security automation playbooks, detection content, and tooling to support monitoring and response across a global team.

The role involves proactive incident handling, collaboration with infrastructure and business units, and ongoing improvements to telemetry and defenses using AI-enabled approaches.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a dedicated cybersecurity role or equivalent IT experience.
• Experience developing, tuning, testing, and documenting detection rules and alerts.
• Familiarity with threat intelligence, attack techniques, and adversary behavior.
• Experience with SOAR or similar automation platforms; scripting ability.

Responsibilities

• Source, integrate, and leverage log data to create insights and detections.
• Develop, tune, test, and maintain detection logic and alerts.
• Document detection logic, data requirements, and response procedures.
• Improve telemetry quality through data normalization and enrichment.
• Lead threat hunting and purple team exercises; translate findings into improvements.
• Design and improve security automation playbooks with AI-enabled capabilities.
• Manage security tools and infrastructure for log processing and response.
• Perform incident response on real-time alerts as needed.
• Collaborate across global groups to define cybersecurity standards.
