Job summary

CAIS is seeking a Data Platform Solutions Lead to bridge data governance, modeling, and internal tool development. You will design scalable data models and drive AI-ready data assets across Product, Engineering, Finance, Sales, and Operations.

You will leverage AI tools, define data quality standards, and collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into practical data solutions. A hybrid, NY-focused role offers generous benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience applying AI tools in a data context (governance, modeling, or pipeline development).
• Experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or data architecture, ideally in financial services/fintech.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and Snowflake.
• Hands-on experience with dbt for modeling and workflows.
• Knowledge of data governance tooling like DataHub/Collibra/Alation is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to build internal data products addressing business problems.
• Excellent communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design scalable data models powering analytics and downstream apps.
• Own data governance initiatives: ownership, quality standards, cataloging.
• Leverage AI tools across data modeling, governance, and documentation.
• Develop internal tools and data products to improve data access and workflows.
• Ensure data assets are structured and well-documented for AI use cases.
• Define data quality checks and resolve data inconsistencies across pipelines.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into practical solutions.
• Document data assets and architectural decisions for shared understanding.
