Job summary

The City University of New York's Office of Applied Research, Evaluation, and Data Analytics seeks a Chief Data and Governance Strategist to lead enterprise data strategy, governance, analytics, and AI adoption across the university.

Reporting to the Senior University Dean, you will steer data resources, oversee data warehouses and dashboards, and advise campus and Central Office leadership on data governance, institutional effectiveness, and responsible use of emerging technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of related experience.
• Experience leading enterprise data, analytics, institutional research, or information management initiatives.
• Experience developing data governance frameworks and institutional data strategies.

Responsibilities

• Lead implementation of CUNY's multi-year enterprise data strategy.
• Advise Central Office and campus leadership on institutional data, analytics, governance, and emerging technologies.
• Oversee data systems, ETL pipelines, data warehouses, and visualization platforms.
• Design AI-ready data architecture and governance.
