Job summary

Capital Group in Southern California seeks an Engineering Manager for the Enterprise Data Office to lead the founding engineering team for CBI. You will hire, coach, and drive AI-enabled data products across the organization, aligning with data platforms and governance.

You will shape solution design, guide AI integration, and build a diverse team while collaborating with product, risk, and business stakeholders to deliver reliable data solutions.

Qualifications

10+ years building full-stack data products end-to-end in a modern lakehouse stack.
Hands-on technical leadership and mentoring of a diverse team.
Experience operating production data platforms with SLAs, observability, and CI/CD.
Experience in Financial Services or regulated domains is a plus.

Responsibilities

Hands-On AI-Native Data Product Delivery across humans and AI agents.
Set solution design for data products and AI integration within the lakehouse.
Build and mentor a diverse engineering team and define the operating model.
Represent engineering voice in Enterprise Data Office forums and coordinate with peers.
