Qualifications

• Pursuing a graduate degree in CS, Data Eng, Data Science or related field.
• Hands-on exposure to LLMs and AI workflows, with ability to explain contribution, approach and results.
• Knowledge of RAG, embeddings, tool calling, structured outputs, and guardrails or human-in-the-loop systems.
• Familiarity with Python, SQL, relational databases, APIs, data transformation, and ETL/ELT concepts.
• Evidence of self-directed learning, problem-solving, curiosity, and clear communication.
• Nice-to-haves: cloud data environments (Snowflake, AWS, Azure, GCP), Git, or ML experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop AI workflows using LLMs, RAG, APIs, tool calling, and structured outputs.
• Build Python and SQL components, data pipelines, and data-quality checks.
• Review AI outputs with mentors and implement safety safeguards/guardrails.
• Define outcomes for a scoped agentic data-engineering use case and deliver a prototype.
• Collaborate with team through meetings, pair programming, and architecture reviews.
• Grow skills in responsible AI, data security, privacy, and cloud data engineering.
