Job summary

HP IQ, HP’s AI innovation lab in San Francisco, seeks an intern to join the Connectivity Software team. You will contribute to on-device software across devices and platforms, writing code in C, C++, or Python and collaborating with engineers to create seamless experiences.

You’ll explore machine learning and AI techniques for embedded systems, support wireless connectivity like Wi‑Fi and Bluetooth, and help test, validate, and document firmware features in a fast-paced, human-centric

Qualifications

On-device firmware and system software development experience or coursework.
Experience with wireless connectivity protocols.
Familiarity with ML inference on embedded devices.
Ability to collaborate across hardware and software teams.

Responsibilities

Develop on-device firmware and system software for connected device experiences.
Build software supporting wireless connectivity across devices.
Explore sensing, ML, and AI techniques for challenging problems.
Debug and resolve issues across system software and applications.
Collaborate with hardware and software engineers to translate requirements.
Participate in code reviews and design discussions.
