Job summary

Mercor, in collaboration with a leading AI lab, seeks experienced commercial brokers and risk advisors to design realistic client-advisory and placement scenarios and to evaluate AI outputs against industry standards.

You will create coverage analyses, renewal strategies, and client recommendations while grading model responses for accuracy and practicality. This role offers immediate start and rolling applications, with flexible hours for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional experience in commercial insurance brokerage, risk advisory, placement, production, or account management.
• Experience with submissions, quotes, binders, policy comparisons, and client communications.
• Strong written communication and high attention to detail.
• Ability to explain insurance concepts in clear, practical language.

Responsibilities

• Design realistic scenarios involving exposure identification, coverage recommendations, submissions, marketing, placement, renewals, and client servicing.
• Create work products such as coverage comparisons, renewal strategies, proposal analyses, exposure summaries, and client recommendations.
• Write gold-standard reference responses at broker and risk-advisor level.
• Grade AI-generated responses against structured rubrics for accuracy, completeness, client suitability, and usefulness.
• Identify when model outputs overlook material exposures or misalign with broker-client responsibilities and provide actionable feedback.
• Provide written feedback the research team uses to improve model behavior.
• Participate in onboarding office hours and calibration sessions.
