Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Computer Science, Chemical Engineering, Systems Biology, Bioengineering, Computational Biology, or a related discipline.
• Strong computational and machine learning skills with AI/ML models on complex biological datasets.
• Demonstrated understanding of Cell Biology through coursework, research, or wet-lab experience.
• Willingness to participate in hands-on training onsite at UCLA to acquire wet-lab skills (cell culture, micro-respirometry, assays).

Responsibilities

• Develop AI-driven models predicting cell physiology, metabolism, and function under mentorship.
• Train, validate, and apply ML models for cellular prediction with team input.
• Collaborate with UCLA researchers to integrate datasets into models.
• Publish rigorous research results in peer-reviewed journals.
• Maintain thorough laboratory documentation and present progress to the team.
• Present findings at conferences with collaborators from industry, academia, and national labs.
