Job summary

Data in New York is seeking a Business Systems and AI Engineer to join the Information Technology and Grants Management team. This role blends hands-on engineering with stewardship of shared AI tools and staff learning to translate needs into practical improvements and accessible documentation.

The engineer will build integrations across Salesforce, Microsoft 365, Box, and external data sources, maintain CI/CD pipelines, and promote responsible AI practices with strong attention to data privacy

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/SE/AI or equivalent experience.
• Strong Python or TypeScript programming and API skills.
• Experience with Git, testing, reviews and CI/CD workflows.
• Familiarity with data privacy and security considerations.
• Ability to explain complex concepts to nontechnical colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Lead AI direction and develop shared tools for staff use.
• Build and maintain integrations across Salesforce, M365, Box.
• Develop AI-ready data pipelines and ensure maintainability.
• Document systems and provide staff training and support.
• Coordinate with partners on security and reliability.
