Job summary

We are seeking a BI Engineer for S&P Global Dow Jones Indices in New York to design and deploy BI solutions using the Power Platform, develop AI-enabled workflows, and empower data-driven decisions across technology teams. The role emphasizes governance, collaboration, and advancing enterprise AI adoption.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in BI/data analytics, strong SQL and DAX skills, and experience delivering scalable ETL/ELT pipelines.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years in BI, data analytics, or related technical roles.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Power Platform technologies (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, CoPilot Studio).
• Experience with data modelling, data visualization, and Power Query (M); design and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Write and optimize DAX measures, calculated columns aligned to business metrics; strong SQL skills.
• Experience in report scheduling, publication, security and access management.
• Knowledge of AI and ML concepts with hands-on experience in automating workflows.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; capable of presenting data insights to diverse audiences.
• Collaborative, adaptable, and able to work across cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement BI solutions using Microsoft Power Platform to create actionable insights.
• Develop and deploy AI-enabled workflows and agentic solutions to drive operational efficiencies.
• Support the APMO team with procedures, controls, and metrics for Technology org effectiveness and compliance.
• Create dashboards and reports enabling data-driven decisions for stakeholders at all levels.
• Coordinate team engagement initiatives, AI adoption workshops, and governance of AI content.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify automation opportunities and improve processes.
