Kalles Group is seeking a Senior Application Security Consultant to lead security assessments across internal and third-party applications in the client-focused Seattle area. Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in cybersecurity with hands-on application security assessments.
• Strong understanding of secure software development practices and vulnerability management.
• Experience performing threat modeling and secure architecture reviews.
• Hands-on experience with SAST, DAST, SCA, and related security platforms.
• Experience assessing cloud-native apps (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Knowledge of APIs and secure software development methodologies.
• Experience developing security standards and assessment methodologies.
• Strong written and verbal communication with ability to influence teams.
• Ability to communicate remediation strategies to technical and business stakeholders.
• Bachelor's degree in CS, Cybersecurity, IT, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive security assessments for internal and third-party apps.
• Partner with engineering, product, and architecture teams to identify security risks in design and development.
• Conduct secure design reviews and provide security approval recommendations.
• Develop and enhance standardized security assessment methodologies and best practices.
• Utilize AI-enabled tools to improve assessment efficiency, threat modeling, and supply chain analysis.
• Document findings and deliver practical remediation recommendations.
• Validate remediation efforts and verify issues are addressed.
• Develop reusable secure design patterns and security guidance for engineering teams.
• Monitor emerging threats and evolving security practices.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to embed security across the SDLC.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of the security program.
