Job summary

Carolina Exteriors in Apex, NC seeks an Accounting & Business Systems Manager to oversee accounts payable, receivable, invoicing, and reconciliations while administering BuilderTrend and QuickBooks Online. The role drives automation and AI-enabled improvements to reduce manual data entry and improve financial accuracy.

Reporting to the CEO, you will own financial processes, enhance workflows, and ensure accurate, timely reporting.

Qualifications

3+ years in accounting operations, bookkeeping, or AP/AR
Proficiency with QuickBooks Online or comparable software
Experience improving, automating, or documenting business processes
Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word/Excel/SharePoint/Teams/Adobe Acrobat)
Ability to handle confidential financial information with discretion

Responsibilities

Prepare and issue accurate, timely customer invoices and maintain consistent collections follow-up
Process vendor bills, support payment runs, and perform AP/AR reconciliations
Maintain complete supporting documentation and accurate records with financial controls
Identify and elevate discrepancies, exceptions, or financial risks
Serve as system owner for BuilderTrend, QuickBooks Online, and other approved systems
Strengthen workflows and handoffs; resolve missing/delayed information
Reduce duplicate data entry and support reliable job costing and reporting
Document updated processes (SOPs) and train staff
