Job summary

Precision Castparts Corp. in Portland, OR, is seeking an AI Developer Co-op/Intern to help design, develop, and deploy AI-driven applications using the PCC data platform, Databricks, and modern Python/JavaScript frameworks.

You will work closely with AI developers, data scientists, and business stakeholders to build practical AI solutions. The internship offers hands-on experience in data integration, API work, and applying enterprise security/governance standards.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's in CS/SE/DS/IS/CE/Engineering or related field.
• Coursework in programming, software development, data structures, databases, AI or ML preferred.
• Internship, project, or research in software development, data analytics, or AI is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing AI-powered applications, workflows, and proof-of-concept solutions.
• Support front-end and back-end development using Python, JavaScript, and modern web frameworks.
• Help integrate APIs, data sources, and AI model outputs into business applications.
• Collaborate with AI developers, data scientists, and analysts to test and deploy AI-enabled solutions.
• Participate in testing, debugging, and performance improvements.
• Document functionality, development processes, and technical requirements.
• Support data preparation and validation for AI and analytics projects.
• Learn and apply enterprise security, data governance, and responsible AI practices.
• Contribute to code reviews, team meetings, and continuous improvement.
