The role requires a technical bachelor’s and 12+ years, with Python/JS/Java, cloud platform experience, and familiarity with LangChain, NLP, and enterprise integrations.
TechPerm Incorporated is seeking an experienced Agentic AI Developer to help modernize enterprise health and citizen support services. This role offers the opportunity to apply advanced AI technologies to essential public-facing programs and create more accessible, efficient customer experiences for people who rely on them.
TechPerm Incorporated supports organizations delivering critical services and complex technology programs. For this opportunity, the successful candidate will contribute to the modernization of a mission-driven national program that serves millions of Americans. The work focuses on improving how the public interacts with government services through secure, responsive, and AI-enabled customer experiences. Team members collaborate across technical and business functions to build solutions that address real service needs while meeting enterprise and federal requirements.
As an Agentic AI Developer, you will design, build, integrate, and enhance intelligent conversational solutions for enterprise customer service and Interactive Voice Response (IVR) environments. You will help create agents that understand user intent, retain context, and complete multistep tasks while connecting with the systems and services needed to resolve inquiries. The role combines software engineering, conversational AI, cloud technologies, and contact center integration. You will work with engineering, architecture, and business partners to turn operational requirements into reliable solutions, and help ensure that AI experiences are secure, accessible, and appropriate for high-impact public services.
Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline and at least 12 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination as permitted by contract requirements. Strong software development ability in languages such as Python, JavaScript, or Java is required, along with experience developing AI, machine learning, or conversational AI applications. Applicants should understand REST APIs, microservices, enterprise integrations, agentic AI concepts, orchestration, and workflow automation. Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform and familiarity with natural language processing, automatic speech recognition, text-to-speech, and conversational technologies are also important. Agile development experience, analytical skills, clear communication, and the ability to meet applicable federal background and suitability requirements are expected. Preferred qualifications include hands‑on experience with LangChain, LangGraph, Semantic Kernel, or comparable frameworks; IVR or contact center platforms such as Amazon Connect, Lex, Genesys Cloud, or Twilio; and enterprise LLM services such as AWS Bedrock, Azure AI, or OpenAI APIs. Experience with voice‑enabled agents, retrieval‑augmented generation, vector databases, semantic search, prompt engineering, evaluation frameworks, guardrails, and responsible AI practices is valued. Familiarity with Lambda, API Gateway, Docker, Kubernetes, serverless architectures, legacy federal integrations, NIST 800-53, FISMA, civilian federal agencies, and Section 508 accessibility requirements is also beneficial.
Develop and improve agentic AI capabilities for IVR and contact center platforms. Build conversational agents that interpret intent, maintain context, and execute multistep workflows. Integrate large language models, NLP, speech technologies, and voice interfaces with enterprise services through APIs, microservices, and back‑end connections. Design orchestration patterns and automated decision workflows, and optimize prompts, retrieval‑augmented generation pipelines, and agent performance. Partner with technical and business stakeholders to clarify requirements and deliver maintainable solutions. Implement authentication, privacy, security, and human‑in‑the‑loop controls. Test and evaluate accuracy, reliability, accessibility, and latency; resolve issues and continuously improve results. Contribute to Agile delivery, CI/CD, documentation, and code reviews, while supporting compliance with federal security and accessibility standards.
Join a collaborative team working on technology with meaningful public impact. This opportunity provides exposure to modern AI, cloud, and contact center platforms, as well as the chance to contribute to complex enterprise modernization.
