Job summary

OpenAI seeks an AI Deployment Engineer to design, build, and operate secure, agent-enabled integrations across web apps, APIs, CLIs, and developer tools. You will partner with engineering, product, design, legal, security, partnerships, and customers to translate complex identity and workflow requirements into production-ready solutions.

You will deliver production-ready code, reference implementations, and testing tools, while advocating secure authentication flows and scalable architectures

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of professional software or AI engineering experience.
• Experience building production full-stack applications or backend services.
• Experience with APIs, connectors, or developer platforms.
• Strong understanding of OAuth, authentication, and identity systems.
• Experience in customer-facing technical engineering roles.
• Knowledge of AI agents, MCP servers, CLIs, and integrations.
• Strong communication and architecture design skills.
• Ability to build secure, reliable production systems.

Join as an AI Deployment Engineer focused on helping strategic partners design, build, launch, and operate secure agent-enabled integrations across web applications, APIs, CLIs, connectors, MCP servers, and developer tools.

You'll work closely with engineering, product, design, legal, security, partnerships, and enterprise customers to transform complex identity and agent workflow requirements into production-ready integrations. This role combines hands-on software engineering with technical leadership and customer collaboration.
