Job summary

ABB is seeking a Division AI & Data Transformation Lead to establish and lead a new function that turns AI, advanced analytics and data into real business value across the Division. You will report to the Division President and guide the AI, Data and IS organization to deliver measurable impact.

This hybrid, global role requires steering an end-to-end AI agenda, building a scalable data platform, and aligning investments with strategic priorities to improve productivity, growth, and customer

Qualifications

• Deep, hands-on understanding of AI (including ML and generative AI), advanced analytics, data architecture and platforms, data governance and responsible AI.
• Proven AI and data strategist with experience turning AI and data strategies into scalable solutions that deliver measurable business impact.
• Product-owner mindset with ability to assess business cases, prioritize a portfolio and make clear go/stop decisions.
• People leader with experience building and developing teams in a global, matrix environment to drive AI adoption.
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders, build strong relationships, and drive adoption across Business Lines and functions.
• Good understanding of IS, enterprise applications and cybersecurity.
• Fluent English and willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Build and own the Division's AI and data strategy, including data foundations, governance, accessibility, quality and analytics capabilities to scale AI.
• Lead and structure the Division's AI, Data and IS team; set up ways of working and priorities; develop a high-performing, collaborative culture.
• Manage a Division-wide pipeline of AI opportunities; prioritize by measurable value and data readiness.
• Create shared AI components and data foundations to avoid duplicate solutions across Business Lines.
• Set governance for responsible AI, data quality, access, cybersecurity and cost control aligned with ABB Group requirements.
• Drive adoption of AI and data-driven decision making across the Division and build AI skills among leaders and power users.
• Coordinate with ABB Marine & Ports interface and ensure IS landscape supports AI and data agenda.
