Tallgrass is seeking an AI and Data Solutions intern to work alongside developers and data practitioners in Lakewood, CO. You will contribute to AI-enabled internal tools, chatbots, and automation projects while gaining exposure to governance and security best practices.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in a related bachelor's program with familiarity in Python, Git, and data concepts, and possess strong communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• Coursework or academic project experience in programming, data, or introductory AI/ML concepts.
• Familiarity with Git, Python, or introductory web development.
• Curiosity about how AI is applied in a business setting, not only in coursework.
• Attention to detail, reliability, and a clear desire to learn.
• Ability to explain technical ideas in plain language.
• Team-oriented mindset and comfort asking questions early.

Responsibilities

• Join the AI and Data Solutions team on day-to-day work, using published documentation and mentoring to complete assigned tasks.
• Help prototype and develop AI-enabled internal tools and automations the team has identified as valuable.
• Support evaluation, testing, integration, and documentation of AI system workflows and APIs.
• Contribute to data preparation and quality checks to ensure datasets are suitable for AI experiments.
• Write and run unit or integration tests for assigned components and document findings.
