Job summary

Kantiv Inc. is seeking a Data Scientist to join our growing team and help build intelligent, data-driven solutions powering Kantiv's AI platform.

You will work with structured and unstructured data to uncover insights, develop agentic solutions, and improve the intelligence behind our products. You will collaborate with backend engineers, AI engineers, and product teams to experiment with new approaches, solve real-world problems, and turn data into actionable insights.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in AI/ML, software engineering, or related field.
• Strong Python coding skills and ability to write maintainable code.
• Understanding of LLMs, prompts, and structured outputs.
• Familiarity with embeddings, vector search, and document retrieval.
• Experience with REST APIs, JSON, and backend integration.
• Comfort working with structured and unstructured data.
• Ability to test, debug, and improve AI-driven workflows.
• Collaborative communication with engineers and product teams.

Responsibilities

• Build and improve AI-powered applications with LLMs and modern AI APIs.
• Integrate language models into applications and experiment with prompting strategies.
• Develop RAG pipelines for retrieval-augmented reasoning over data sources.
• Create AI agents and multi-step workflows using appropriate tools.
• Design data processing pipelines for ingestion, extraction, and semantic search.
• Evaluate outputs for accuracy, relevance, and reliability; build tests.
• Collaborate with backend engineers to integrate AI into product workflows.
• Optimize model selection, caching, and costs for production use.
