Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK) is hiring a Data Scientist I to join the Strategy & Growth team in New York. You will design AI agents and generative AI workflows to optimize clinical and operational processes, building scalable AI-powered solutions.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in data science, machine learning, or applied AI.
• Hands-on experience with large language models and prompt engineering.
• Proficiency in Python and/or R for data science workflows.
• Comfort working with relational databases and SQL.
• Familiarity with code assistants (e.g., GitHub Copilot) and version control.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS Bedrock) and AI tooling is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy AI agents and generative AI applications from prototypes to production.
• Evaluate model performance and real-world impact with proper metrics and monitoring.
• Partner with Strategy & Growth to translate business challenges into AI-enabled workflows.
• Perform data analytics, ETL, dashboards, and ad hoc analyses as needed.
• Provide data science support for in-house digital products with potential commercial value.
• Evaluate emerging AI technologies and practical applications for the team.
