Job summary

Eaton is seeking an IT Data Platform Product Owner to maximize value of AI and data platform products, defining roadmaps and priorities across Snowflake, Dataiku, Coalesce, Palantir and data ingestion. This role collaborates with AI, data & analytics teams to align product outcomes with strategic goals and to manage funding and priorities.

The position requires overseeing governance, security, and platform health, while balancing new features with continuous improvement and cost management.

Qualifications

• Minimum bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Minimum six years in product ownership, PM, architect, BRM or program lead on tech projects.
• No relocation benefit; candidates within a 50-mile radius of designated areas will be considered.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Define and communicate product vision, roadmap, and strategy for AI and data platforms.
• Own product backlog, decompose epics into features, and prioritize work.
• Plan and track product demand including platform consumption and licensing costs.
• Develop personas and customer journeys for stakeholders and end users.
• Collaborate with business leaders, engineers, and analysts to meet business KPIs.
• Communicate goals for enhancements and releases; define sprint goals.
• Support onboarding of data sources, domains, and platform tenants.
• Support data governance, privacy, cybersecurity, access management and usage.
• Build expertise in AI/data platforms, data engineering and analytics enablement.
• Improve product processes (Lean, Agile, Scrum, DevSecOps, DataOps).
• Manage technical/operational debt and secure SDLC practices.
