Zscaler, Inc. in Santa Clara, CA is seeking a technically strong Manager – AI & Data Platform Engineering. You will lead a distributed team across the US and India, owning the enterprise data and AI platforms, pipelines, and knowledge assets.

The role combines architecture, hands-on engineering, and leadership to evolve our platform into an AI-ready data and knowledge foundation. You will drive roadmaps, partner with architects, own platform strategy, and build reusable operational standards to

Qualifications

10+ years of software engineering, data engineering, or data architecture experience.
3+ years of engineering team leadership.
Strong hands-on Python and SQL with distributed systems knowledge.
Experience designing and operating production-grade data platforms on AWS using Snowflake, Databricks, or BigQuery and dbt.

Responsibilities

Lead a team of data and AI engineers across the US and India, managing performance and delivery.
Own the Data Platform (Snowflake, dbt, Matillion) and pipelines turning data into AI-ready assets.
Translate platform strategy into roadmaps and quarterly plans with architecture leadership.
Operate the platform as a product for internal customers, defining SLAs and onboarding paths.
Build automated operations for pipelines, data quality checks, and remediation.
