Job summary

Speechify Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer - AI Data to join our distributed AI team. You will build data pipelines powering model training and next-gen AI products, focusing on large-scale data collection and dataset quality at petabyte scale.

You will collaborate with AI Scientists to improve datasets and support development of cutting-edge models, while owning projects from conception through delivery in a fast-paced, autonomous environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with backend focus.
• Proficiency in Python and Bash in Linux environments.
• Experience building and operating production systems, especially data pipelines.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in ambiguity.
• Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Discover and build data pipelines from new audio sources for training datasets.
• Develop and optimize large-scale data-processing systems for quality and cost.
• Collaborate with AI Scientists to improve training datasets and models.
• Own engineering projects from discovery to implementation and improvement.
