Job summary

Speechify Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer - AI Data to join our AI team and build data pipelines powering model training and next-gen AI products.

You will craft high-quality datasets at massive scale by integrating engineering, infrastructure, and research, solving complex data problems, and enabling scalable AI workflows. You will collaborate with AI Scientists, own projects end-to-end, and contribute to a culture that values autonomy, innovation, and a high-performance distributed

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, with backend focus.
• Proficiency in Python and Bash in Linux environments.
• Experience building and operating production systems, especially data pipelines or large-scale data processing.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in ambiguous environments.

Responsibilities

• Discover new sources of audio data and build reliable pipelines for training datasets.
• Build and optimize large-scale data-processing systems for quality, throughput, and cost.
• Collaborate with AI Scientists to improve training datasets and model development.
• Take ownership of engineering projects from discovery through delivery and iteration.
