Job summary

Speechify Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer - AI Data to join our AI team and design data pipelines powering model training and next-generation AI products. We build high-quality datasets at petabyte scale by combining engineering, infrastructure, and research.

You will work on scalable data-processing systems, collaborating with AI scientists to improve training datasets, and own engineering projects from discovery to delivery in a fully distributed, remote environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with backend focus.
• Proficiency in Python and Bash in Linux environments.
• Experience building and operating production systems, especially data pipelines or large-scale processing.

Responsibilities

• Discover new sources of audio data and build reliable pipelines for training datasets.
• Build and improve large-scale data-processing systems with focus on quality, throughput, and cost.
• Collaborate with AI Scientists to improve training datasets and enable next-gen models.
• Take ownership of projects from discovery through implementation and iteration.
