Job summary

Speechify Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer - AI Data to join our AI team and develop data pipelines powering model training and next-gen AI products. You will build high-quality datasets at scale, combining engineering, infrastructure, and research to improve training efficiency and cost.

You thrive on solving complex problems and exploring new data sources. You will collaborate with AI scientists to enhance datasets and support state-of-the-art model development, taking ownership of projects

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with backend development fundamentals.
• Proficiency in Python and Bash in Linux environments.
• Experience building and operating production systems, ideally with data pipelines or large-scale data processing.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in ambiguous environments.

Responsibilities

• Discover new sources of audio data and build pipelines for training datasets.
• Build and improve large-scale data-processing systems maximizing data quality and throughput.
• Collaborate with AI Scientists to improve training datasets and model development.
• Take ownership of projects from discovery through implementation and continuous improvement.
