Job summary

SAP Taulia is seeking an AI Data Engineer to ensure our AI agents access high-quality, structured data. You will bridge the AI Center of Excellence with data teams, building reusable data pipelines and custom interfaces to expose business data securely and efficiently.

You will work with data from core systems, optimize RAG performance, manage the AI Data Library, and collaborate with the AI Solutions Architect to deliver high-value AI agents while ensuring data freshness and governance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in data engineering, ETL development, or database management.
• Experience building custom API connectors and data ingestion scripts.
• Experience preparing data for consumption by Large Language Models and AI agents.
• Working with unstructured data (text, documents) and NLP concepts.
• Strong SQL and Python skills.

Responsibilities

• Building and maintaining custom connectors (APIs, ETL pipelines) to extract data for AI tools.
• Coordinating data readiness between the AI Center of Excellence and data teams.
• Designing data pipelines and RAG architectures to optimize retrieval and reduce hallucinations.
• Maintaining an AI Data Library detailing data sources, schemas, and owners.
• Implementing automated checks for data quality and safeguarding sensitive data.
