Job summary

Speechify Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer - AI Data to join our AI team and build the data pipelines powering model training and next-generation AI products.

We create high-quality datasets at petabyte scale, combining engineering, infrastructure, and research to improve training efficiency and scalability. You will discover new data sources, build scalable pipelines, and collaborate with AI Scientists to refine training datasets and advance model development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in Python and Bash in Linux environments.
• Experience building and operating production data pipelines.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in ambiguous environments.

Responsibilities

• Discover new sources of audio/data and build reliable pipelines for training datasets.
• Build and optimize large-scale data-processing systems for quality, throughput and cost.
• Collaborate with AI Scientists to improve training datasets and model development.
• Take ownership of engineering projects from problem discovery through implementation and ongoing improvement.
