Job summary

Toloka AI is seeking a Freelance AI Data Project Manager based in New York City or San Francisco to lead a virtual delivery team for client projects. You will drive successful data generation pipelines, coordinate engineers, supply managers, and other stakeholders, and ensure timely, high-quality outcomes for several domains.

The role combines client communication with internal coordination, focusing on efficiency, scope, and risk management while enabling growth for Toloka AI’s GenAI

Qualifications

• Experience leading technical cross-functional teams.
• Experience managing complex projects from discovery to adoption.
• Client-facing experience.
• Agile mindset; able to switch domains quickly.
• Experience in AI, data generation, and industry context.
• Proactive in suggesting process improvements and efficiency gains.

Responsibilities

• Take ultimate ownership for all delivery team projects.
• Lead a cross-functional delivery team ensuring projects are on track and risks are addressed.
• Own operations of the delivery team: communication, planning, summaries, retros.
• Drive and motivate the team to increase efficiency.
• Roll out improvements to adoption and provide feedback for future improvements.
