Job summary

HUD in San Francisco is seeking a Delivery Engineer to own complex, time-sensitive data and evaluation programs for frontier AI labs, data vendors, and internal teams.

You will transform ambiguous technical asks into executable plans, coordinate owners and dependencies, and ensure data is useful for evaluating and improving LLMs and agents. You’ll also manage vendors and build scalable processes.

Qualifications

• Experience owning complex technical programs in AI/ML and data operations.
• Strong data judgment: move between aggregate metrics and single examples.
• Ability to define milestones, owners, dependencies, and acceptance criteria.

Responsibilities

• Own data and evaluation programs end-to-end from scoping to delivery and retrospectives.
• Translate ambiguous requests into clear specifications with milestones and owners.
• Maintain and improve data quality procedures using quantitative signals and qualitative inspection.
• Maintain and improve delivery pipelines at scale, including vendor management.
• Streamline data production and evaluation workflows through automation and cross-functional handoffs.
• Partner with research, platform, and marketplace teams to translate learnings into product improvements.
